Monday 26th July

4:00 O.M.G. IT'S MONDAY!!

Hi, this is Jess Martin & Holly Betteridge and we'll be playing chart music, personal favourites and requests, along with talking about the weather, things in the news and things that are on our minds. And, every now and then we will have a guest come on the show.

 

6:00 THE AFTER SCHOOL SHOW

'Chloe Carver & Penny Halling host the After School Show with different guests, cool tunes and a bit of gossip and fun every week. Email in for requests or just general chat. Also mentioning events taking place in your local area.'

 

7:30 SPORTOPSY

Please join myself - Shmoo, Scrivo And Manny for 'SPORTOPSY' where we dissect all the weekend’s global sporting events including all the news and gossip from the local leagues. We hope you will interact with us by emailing or phoning the studio and contributing to the show every week.

 

Tuesday 27th July

4:00pm DON'T PANIC IT'S A TUESDAY THING
This new programme is presented by Katie Wilber and Daniel Jones and is a real mixture of different things. Two people, the occasional guest and a broadcast control desk that they no little about; what can possibly go wrong?!

7:00pm MIKE COWLEY

Mike presents his programme entitled "Songbook" - songs from past and present that when heard you just get the urge to sing along (hopefully!). Regular features include:- two “slices of cheese” – two songs that are so ‘bad’ they are actually quite good! and also the 3 from 1 feature – 3 tracks from one artist.

 

Wednesday 28th July

5:00pm AMATEUR PROFESSIONALS

Amateur Professionals - a radio show hosted by Jess Jackson.

With all types of music including rock, pop, jazz etc. & during the show there will be updates on the latest news; locally & globally with the odd game and casual chat! Jack, Jess and Penny will keep the show lively and easy to listen to & there will also be a special guest each week so that we have a different scene week after week interviewing the guests to the limit!

 

7:00pm THE ROCK YEARS

Terry Ingram presents The Rock Years, "Parts 1 and 2" from 2 to 4pm. You can take part by selecting any Rock Year from 1954 up to, and including the current year. Tell me why you have chosen the year, and if you want to, you can also select up to 15 tracks from that year, and I'll try to play as many as I can. There's no prize, just loads of name-checks. 4:00pm OPTIMISTS' RADIO

A positive look at the news, views & music. Tom Parkin, Jonas Halling, and Sam Dyer will present this, the radio show with a mostly optimistic view on the news + Some music from a majority of genres , will be always possible ! We will probably discuss some interesting facts . This show is guaranteed to liven up your Thursday afternoon!

6:00pm THE NOTHING SHOW

The Nothing Show is a few hours of fun and laughter with DJ Bobby and Dj Bexo Martinio. Join us every Thursday from 6pm till 8pm where you will be faced with a show fuelled and filled with requests, gossip, chart music and topics you will just want to join in with. So tune in, turn up your speakers, rave to the music and join the debate!

8:00pm FOUR POINTS RADIO

Friday 30th July

3:30pm GIRL TALK

Another programme in the series of the chatty, newsy show that reaches the parts other shows can't reach! Val Rainbow & guests chew the fat and set the world to rights over coffee round the kitchen table. Rambling conversation on everything & anything, with a few laughs thrown in, is a recipe for an entertaining and engaging show from the female perspective!

 

4:30pm METAL MAYHEM
Jack Gibson hosts the first metal programme on NCCR. Through popular demand, bands such as Municipal Waste, Skindred, Five Finger Death Punch and Bullet For My Valentine can be heard. 08:00am THE COOLER BREAKFAST

The Cooler Breakfast has moved to its new home on Saturday mornings between 8am and 10am. Expect more guests (they won't have to get up so early) but essentially the same mix of old and new music, pithy comment on the day's news, the Birthday Bucket, 'Ed Banger and some other stuff Pricey, Charlie and Chris have yet to dream up. Just fire up the PC and grab yourself 'something for the weekend' with the new old Cooler Breakfast......

 

10:00am THE UNSIGNED COMMUNITY

Robb Eden plays unsigned music from around the world. In the first hour we'll review some of the latest unsigned new releases & throughout the programme listen out for our featured artist of the week.

 

12:00pm COTSWOLD COUNTRY

This week on Cotswold Country we will be featuring an artist who has been one of our favourites and we are sure yours for many years "Tracy Byrd "

With so many top ten singles in the US Billboard charts and constant touring in the USA sadly Tracy has never been able to fit in a trip to the UK so this week we feature his Hit album "No Ordinary Man "

Plus as usual at around 1.00pm we have the easy listening segment featuring Tracy Byrd , Charlie Rich , Crystal Gayle , and George Jones .

And at 1.30pm the Classic segment featuring Johnny Horton , Conway Twitty , Porter Wagoner , and Jerry lee Lewis .

so we hope you can join us for if not all then some of Cotswold Country on NCCR between 12.00pm -2,00pm this Saturday .

A chance to hear these unique programmes recorded as part of the Agitpop summer season on NCCR. Agitpop is the music and politics show on North Cotswold Community Radio, presented by Chris Jury, and focusing on songs and artists throughout history who have tried to change the world. From Billie Holiday to the Housemartins, Woody Guthrie to Billy Bragg, Bob Marley to the Manic Street Preachers; from the very beginnings of modern popular music artists have tried to express their political beliefs through song.

These songs have in turn inspired generations of activists and politicians and profoundly influenced popular political ideas.
