A PIECE OF THE AUCTION.
Special guest on this Friday's Diary Room will be Gayle Eastell, organiser of a very special auction on February 8th which aims to raise funds for The Theatre, Chipping Norton. One of the country's pre-eminent provincial theatres, the venue has been hit hard by recent cuts in local authority funding and Ms Eastell hopes to raise some £15,000 at the auction, which will be opened by the venerable Cotswold-based actor Robert Hardy CBE, to cover some of the shortfall. Find out what's going under the hammer on this Friday's edition of The Diary Room, 6.30-8.30pm on NCCR.

Find more info about the auction on www.chippingnortontheatre.com

Saturday Breakfast Show after 9am tomorrow (21st January) as he embarks

air as usual from 8 with the best mix of music to get you going in the
morning, along with film reviews and the latest local, national and
international news.

DIRTY DEEDS IN THE DIARY ROOM

Special guest on this Friday's edition of The Diary Room (6.30pm-8.30pm) will be author, historian and journalist Nell Darby. Nell has written several books about the seedier side of this most bucolic corner of the country, including 'Foul Deeds and Suspicious Deaths in the Cotswolds' and, more recently, 'Olde Cotswold Punishments'. Appropriately enough she'll be 'doing a bit of bird' in The Cooler herself this Friday when she pops in to discuss her work and lift the lid on some of the more unsavoury goings on in the Cotswolds over the centuries!

SONGBOOK - The Final Chapter
As well as the last show before Christmas, Tuesday 20th December will see the final closing of the Songbook pages.  To mark the occasion all songs played will be from the Slice Of Cheese files.  Yes, that means 2 hours of songs that are so bad they are actually quite good, humorous songs, or something just quite simply cheesey.  I do hope you will be able to join me at 7pm on Tuesday for my last show.  I would like to thank all those that have listened and contributed to the show over the last 3 years and I would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

The BIG Debate - Listen Again
Did you know that based on a 20 year projection the number of younger people living in Moreton-in-Marsh is likely to remain the same whereas the number of elderly people is set to double! Does Moreton need another retirement complex? Before passing any more large planning applications should the planning committees seek to improve the town’s infrastructure & if so what needs to be done? Do you think that younger people should have a say in the Town’s future?

Recorded at the WI Hall, Moreton-in-Marsh - hear The Big Debate again !
