Tune into the first Cooler Brekkie of the 2010 on Saturday morning 8-10am and hear a mini-exclusive of a new track from Feeder, or is it their new alter ego 'Renegades'? 'Sentimental'can be heard in the regular 'Ed Banger slot at 9.55am- a return to the band's stripped down, heavier roots, the track marks the first recorded stuff from Grant and the boys in quite a while.

The Cooler Breakfast returns this Saturday( January 2nd) with Pricey and Charlie taking a casual and irreverent look back at 2009 and, indeed, the Noughties as a whole. If you've got a particular memory of the past year or decade that you'd like to share, just email in on studio@northcotswoldonline.com, or if you're just glad to see the back of it, let us know why.

Charlie and Pricey are dusting off the tinsel once more, their little eyes glistening as the excitement of another festive season begins to dawn (waddya mean it's only mid November?). Anyway, in a couple of weeks we'll be recording another edition of Cheese and Crackers at Christmas, so if you've got either a cheesy hit or a yuletide cracker you want played for someone special, get your requests in early- don't post 'em up the chimney, email them to
studio@northcotswoldonline.com and we'll pass on a special message for you- to anyone in the world (with a computer and speakers of course!)

The Cooler Breakfast
Saturday morning brekkie has never been more enjoyable well, unless you are logged on and tuned into us, that is! Yes I thought I'd get stuck into this blogging thingy. I mean everyone is doing it these days. So as I'm still a young and hip chick, thought I'd have a bash. All the other shows are doing it. We are cool after all..!! Well, Not really, we're The Cooler Breakfast because we're in the cooler of the Old Police Station in Chipping Camden. Sorry, we're not the coolest people in town.
So now I'm afraid there's NO excuse 'I'm at work/driving to work' etc. as "reasons" for not listening. Our new home since 19th September, has been Saturday mornings between 8am and 10am. Expect more guests (now they won't have to get up so early). We have essentially the same mix of old and new music, lots of pithy comment on the day's news and weather, the Birthday Bucket, Coco's Pops, Charlie's Chune's, 'The MASSIVE Ed Banger and other stuff we all have yet to dream up. LOL.
Hey listeners, Cups of tea and coffee at the ready every Saturday mornings from now on.
Keep listening and now reading with the blog.
Charlie

Listen up to The Cooler Breakfast on Friday Sept 4th and find out all you need to know about Moose Hunting in the Cotswolds....yes, tha's MOOSE hunting. It's open season on these big ol' critters for one week only, so you'll need to tune in to Pricey, Charlie and Chris to find out the best tracking methods, their favourite habitats and what to do when you spot one. Confused? All will become clear between 7.30am and 9.30am.
Note; No animals will be harmed during the programme. What happens afterwards isn't our problem!

Listen up to the Cooler Breakfast this Friday (7.30am-9.30am) and the NCCR 'Strictly' Special on Saturday (4pm-6pm) and you could win a prized pair of tickets during each show for the live Strictly Come Dancing extravaganza on Saturday evening (July 4th).
A simple question (well, simple for SCD fans!) will be asked in each show and the winners announced on air- tickets will be made available for collection at the show, which takes place at Chipping Campden School. Appearing live will be Strictly favourites Nicole and Matthew Cutler, along with Aussie stuntman The Kangaroo Kid, who will premiering his one and only rumba performance- as taught to him by Matt and Nicole.
Thanks to everyone who has sent in questions and presenters Richard Price and Tom Roles will endeavour to pose them all to Matthew and Nicole. In fact, there's still time to get your question in,so e-mail it to studio@northcotswoldonline.com before Saturday 4pm and put SCD in the subject frame- (quick) step to it!

Plans are afoot for the great NCCR music quiz at a local venue . If you fancy pitting your wits against your fellow man (or woman) and think you know a bit about music we'd like to hear from you.
The idea is that we'll have rounds that cover all genres and eras of pop and rock, so this will be for young and old alike- perhaps you can put together a team of specialists with knowledge of music from yesterday and/or today- although we may have to handicap Steve Sutherland (or maybe nominate him as quizmaster!)!!
Let us know if you're interested and we'll put the details together- who knows you could be NCCR's Champion Pop Quizzers for 2009. If you can put together a team of, say, five muso eggheads, let us know on studio@northcotswoldonline.com and we'll get the wheels of industry moving.....

As you'll know from Robb's update, we're going to record a bit of Christmas japery early next week (maybe Monday) and Chris Walker and I want to know what your fave Christmas choons are so we can play 'em. So,don't be embarassed (you should hear ours!) drop us an e-mail at cwalkerr@aol.com or richard@media37.com or even straight to the studio (studio@northcotswoldonline.com as if you didn't know and we'll drop them into our show. Tell us why you love 'em too, that'll help.....
Finally- any suggestions for a suitably silly name for the NCCR Christmas Show-? Crackers at Christmas anyone?

At last, we finally got around to auctioning the signed Feeder guitar that was donated to NCCR by the band and I'm proud to say that we realised the grand sum of £370. With the first anniversary of the fire fresh in our minds, the money will go straight to the Atherstone Firefighters Appeal Fund for the families of the victims- hopefully in time for Christmas.
Thanks to everyone who bid or helped promote the fund and Happy Strumming to the winner! Thanks most of all to the boys in the band...cheers lads
