Pricey's back from Hungary and just in time for a very special Cooler Breakfast this Friday- it's his birthday!
So join him, Ade and Chris for a slap up brekkie of jelly and ice cream, party hats, streamers, games, tears, tantrums and much more....only kidding - feel free to send a mildly abusive e-mail or text to the old goat - the funniest wins the last of the Four Anjels hampers!
And the unsigned act chosen is......
The decision has been made - if you were listening to Robb Eden's programme on Saturday you would have heard him announce the winner of the days recording at Universal's Studios in London.
It was an agonising decision for Simon Gavin, Director of A&M Records, part of Universal Music. Simon had to listen to demos from Inlight, Kamikaze Union, No Fixed Abode & Souljacker several times before deciding that Inlight would win the cherished prize. The studio is booked for late August & we'll keep you posted on how Charlie, Mike, Pete & Johnny (Inlight) get on in London.
Meanwhile all is not lost for the other acts. We will continue to play their music on NCCR & look for ways in which we can help them get their music heard by the people that matter in the industry.
Listen Again: Unsigned Showcase - Q&A
We hope that one or all of the acts featured on our Unsigned Showcase will be signed by companies that can help them onto the world stage. Meanwhile, if you write music, sing or play in a band send your music to us at NCCR, PO Box 100, Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire, GL56 0ZX. You never know, you may hear it on the Unsigned Round Table or The Unsigned Top 40.
Communities in Control
Communities Secretary Hazel Blears will today publish a White Paper setting out proposals to deliver a fundamental shift in power,
influence and responsibility into the hands of communities and citizens.
Communities in control: Real people, real power sets out how the Government plans to give citizens and communities more rights and more
power through:
more information and greater influence over the local decisions thataffect them;
new means of holding politicians and councils to account; and,
where they choose, more opportunity to get directly involved in managing and shaping how local services are delivered.

The local and national music business went back to school recently at an an event jointly promoted by North Cotswold Community Radio (NCCR) and Chipping Campden School Parents' Association.
After hearing words of wisdom from a panel of music business experts chaired by former NME Editor and current NCCR presenter Steve Sutherland, the cream of local musicians took to the stage in a showcase at Chipping Campden School Hall. Other esteemed members of the panel, who also took questions from a fascinated audience, included cheesemaker and Blur bassist Alex James, record producer Stephen Lipson and Andrew Bishop, Managing Director of Carlsbro Electronics.
Acts who thrilled the audience included local duo Indian Summer, Oxford's Inlight, Souljacker from Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton & Burford, folkies No Fixed Abode and Blockley's hotly-tipped Kamikaze Union, whose average age is just 14 years old. The showcase in the first of a series of similar events planned by NCCR and designed to encourage unsigned local songwriters and bands in their bid for recognition.
Welcome to a new show on NCCR.

NCCR Garden Show - Listen Again
Listen Again: The Garden Show
The first of NCCR's Summer Events The Garden Show, took place at Chipping Campden School last Sunday (15th June). The hall was filled with plants & flowers & the smell of lavender was heaven. A sincere thank you to everyone who came along and to all the stallholders who participated.
